In 1492 Columbus sailed the
ocean blue. Everyone knows that three
ships set sail to discover the New World. But only two
ships survived the return trip.
The Santa Maria ran aground off the coast of Haiti
on Dec. 25, 1492 and was destroyed. Columbus learned
his lesson and the Sailing Rulebook was born.
420 years later Titanic sailed into an iceberg and
the rulebook grew.
100 years after that Costa Concordia and Captain Schettino forgot Rules 1 and 2.
This
is cute, but deadly serious: We keep forgetting the
simple rules over and over again.
